What is H5P? H5P is an external tool for existing publishing systems that enables the system to create interactive content such as videos, presentations, games, quizzes, and more. H5P makes it easy to create, share, and reuse HTML5 content. With H5P, educators can create things like question sets, presentations, drag and drop questions, and more. All of the H5P content can be easily embedded into a courses iLearn site for students to use. Students can experience all of the H5P resources on laptops, tablets, or smartphones. 

As an open source content authoring tool H5P can be used:

  • To increase students interest in specific learning material
  • To create engagement between students and their education
  • As a task for students to demonstrate engagement with the subject material.
  • To create engaging presentations, learning activities, and other resources for students.

H5P and iLearn


Adding H5P tool to your iLearn Course Site:

Access your iLearn site, select  "Site Info", select "Edit Site Tools" from the tabs at the top of the screen.  Scroll down to and click the "External Tools". Select H5P, click "Continue" and then click "Finish" to complete adding the tool.  The link to the H5P tool will now be displayed at the bottom of the list of tools from the left-hand navigation.
