Why did you choose Marist?

I chose Marist for a few reasons. Firstly, it's quite close to home which makes it easy to travel to and from. I also really like the size of the school. It's not too small yet not too big which allows me to see familiar faces around campus while also having the opportunity to meet new people. It's also close to New York City which can make for fun day trips during the weekend.

What is your favorite thing about working in Data Center Operations?

I think my favorite thing about working in Data Center Operations is the hands-on experience. It's one thing to learn in a classroom setting, which is undoubtedly important, but it's another thing to get that experience and knowledge in a real-world setting. I love that I'm able to work on projects that relate to my major in some way and which allows me to apply the knowledge I've gained in the classroom to real-world projects in the workplace.

What is your favorite thing about Marist?

My absolute favorite thing about Marist would have to be the campus and location. The campus itself is beautiful, but it being right on the Hudson River makes it even more amazing. On sunny days, it's nice to take a walk down by the river and just hang out, and when the sun sets, it is beautiful.

When you graduate, what do you hope to be able to do?

Being my major is media studies and production, after graduating I would like to be able to work in the production field on the video editing side of things, whether that's for a major film or TV company or a smaller company. Despite this, having the experience I gained from working in Data Center Operations keeps the door to working in IT open for me somewhere down the line.
