How to Add Images to Your Content Pages

You can add images to your content pages to make sure they stand out in the Visual Table of Contents on the homepage of your course. The image used in the unit description should be 768 pixels wide by 400 pixels high (or larger) so it will properly display in the widget.

Step 1: To add images, go to Content.

The image shows a highlighted button labeled Content.

Step 2 : Either create a new unit, or edit an existing unit.

The image shows a highlighted button labeled +New Unit.

Step 3 : In the description, click on the Insert Image icon.

Step 4 : Choose the location of the image, such as your computer.

Step 5 : Search for or enter the location of the image, and then click on Add.

Step 6: Provide Alternative Text to ensure accessibility with screen readers, and then click on OK.

Once an image has been added to the page, that image will be the display image on the course homepage for that unit. If there are multiple images on a Unit page, the first image on the page will be the display image.

How to Upload Documents to Content

You can upload documents to Content so they can be viewed directly from the content page. This can be useful for items such as your syllabus, readings, or supplemental documents. Please note that the documents will be converted to PDF to ensure mobile compatibility. If students need to the original document, a "Download" button will appear at the top of the page that they can use to download the original document.

Step 1: In order to upload your documents, go to Content and select the unit or lesson where you would like the file to appear. Click on Add Existing at the top of the page.

This is a screenshot of two buttons with text: a blue "Add Existing" button highlighted in red and a gray "Create New" button.

Step 2 : At the bottom of the page, Drag and Drop the document into the box or use the Browse option to search for your document to upload it.

Step 3: The files will then be uploaded and appear on the page.
