Teaching Professor and Magna Publications

The  Teaching Professor is a weekly online newsletter featuring content focused on improving student learning. 

Topics include: 

  • Planning and designing courses.

  • Promoting academic integrity.

  • Increasing student engagement.

  • Responding to course evaluations and feedback.

  • Dealing with difficult students. 

  • Developing effective activities and assignments. 

The Magna Digital Library  is a platform featuring presentations made by experts focusing on improving teaching, learning, and student success in higher education. 

Access to The Teaching Professor and Magna Digital Library is available in My Marist (my.marist.edu).

  • Log in to My Marist and select the Resources tab. 
  • Under Departmental Resources (third column), under the Library option you will find a link to the Teaching Professor/Magna Digital Library.  
  • You will automatically upload a document containing directions to creating an account and accessing the content in this resource.  https://my.marist.edu/resources

Digital Education

Digital Education provides support in using digital tools to enhance learning, assist with course creation in Brightspace, set up grades, create rubrics, and more. We also help faculty with Zoom for virtual classes and Panopto for video recording and sharing, enhancing the overall teaching and learning experience.
