Dede Hourican is the Assistant Director of Instructional Technology at Marist University. She has over 15 years’ experience in building improvements and technical solutions to teaching and learning within Marist's instance of Sakai and now, Brightspace. Dede works with international graduate students through website creation and the QA process. She teaches them about open-source software and global communities while gaining technical skills. She is on the Sakai Project Management Committee (PMC), and an Apereo Mentor.
