Dede Hourican is the Assistant Director of Instructional Technology at Marist University. She has over 18 years’ experience in building improvements and technical solutions to teaching and learning within Marist's instance of Sakai and now, Brightspace. Dede works with international graduate students through website creation and the software quality assurance (QA) processes. She shares them about open-source software and global communities while gaining technical skills. She is on the Apereo Board of Directors, the Sakai Project Management Committee (PMC), and was an Apereo Mentor.
