Headings

Headings are titles or subtitles used to organize and divide content into sections, making it easier to read and understand.
Key Points to remember for headings :

Headings should be applied using Brightspace’s built-in styles (H1, H2, H3, etc.).

  • Avoid using bold or enlarged text as a substitute for headings.

  • Maintain a logical sequence: H1 should be the main title, followed by H2, then H3, without skipping levels.

  • Proper heading structure allows screen reader users to navigate quickly and understand content hierarchy.

Where to find Headings :

Step 1: Open the Brightspace Editor, the Paragraph has a drop down click on that.
Step 2 :A dropdown menu in the top-left corner of the editor toolbar (highlighted in red in the image)  will appear to choose between different text styles like Paragraph, Heading 1, Heading 2, etc.
